Coder12's Factions Mod Updated
An updated version of Coder12's factions
This is an updated version of Coder12's factions mod, fixed to be compatible with the current version of Luanti. This mod was updated using ChatGPT as I am not a coder by trade.
For those unfamiliar, factions originated in minecraft as a bukkit plugin. It is a gamemode where players will create and join different factions. These factions will then choose to either be allies or compete with eachother for land and resources.
Features included in this mod:
/f create (name) - Creates a faction with a name chosen by the player
/f claim - Claims land for the faction
/f sethome - Sets a home for the faction
/f home - Teleports a faction member to the faction home (this command was added by me for this updated version of the mod)
/f invite - Invites a player to join your faction
/f leave - Allows a player to leave a faction
A players faction name will be displayed before their username in chat (this was added by me for this updated version of the mod)
/f help - gives a long list of other commands that can be used by players and admins

Update 1.0.1 New Features added: Safezone- Protected area where players don't take damage and blocks can't be destroyed (good for protecting a spawn area)
Warzone- Same protection as safezone except damage is ENABLED and fire spreads (good for protecting a PvP arena)
New commands:
/f claim safezone: claims a safezone on the parcel you are standing on (requires admin privs)
/f claim warzone: claims a warzone on the parcel you are standing on (requires admin privs)
/f unclaim safezone: removes a safezone claim on the parcel you are standing on (requires admin privs)
/f unclaim warzone: removes a warzone claim on the parcel you are standing on (requires admin privs)
Players are barred from creating a faction named "safezone" or "warzone" with any combination of capitalizations to prevent Warzone and Safezone claims from being overridden by players.
1.0.2 - Claim Protections Update:
This update changes how faction land claims are protected. Faction land claims are now vulnerable to TNT explosions launched from outside a land claim or put on the border of a land claim. This was done to better facilitate PvP/Raiding. Non-faction members can no longer open doors on faction land claims. There are still objects which are NOT protected and can be opened by non-members: Chests, furnaces, trap doors, fence gates. Non-faction members are still unable to break blocks on a land claim that is not owned by their faction with fists or tools.
1.0.3 - Overclaim Update Faction overclaiming has been updated to allow factions with sufficient power to claim territory from enemy factions whose power has fallen below the required threshold. This makes overclaiming function more like the classic CraftBukkit Factions system, where maintaining enough power is essential to protecting your claimed land.
Power loss and regeneration has changed. Faction members now lose 4 power per death and power regenerates by 2 every hour (this can be changed in fac_config/init.lua)
Commands like /f claim, /f sethome, /f unclaim no longer announce coordinates in chat. This helps prevent other players from figuring out where faction claims and bases are located.
Chests placed on faction land claims can no longer be opened by players who are not a part of your faction. Furnaces can still be opened, but items cannot be removed.
1.0.4 - Simple Fixes:
The time it takes for the mod to display the faction name of the parcel you are standing on has been decreased from 3 seconds to 0.1 seconds.
/f declare_war has been changed to /f enemy. This was done so that command can be typed quickly in the heat of battle.
1.0.5 - Text Color and Commands This update changes the color of a faction name in chat based on your relationship to the faction.
member=green ally=purple neutral=white enemy=light red safezone=gold warzone=dark red
Commands regarding diplomacy were shortened to make typing faster and easier (ex: /f send_alliance changed to /f ally) new commands are: /f ally, /f neutral, /f enemy
A console-spamming error about Safezone damage protection being incongruent with Mineclonia's health system has been fixed.
